Owatonna Annual Weekend out: Fri – Sun
Owatonna Parks and Recreation has given us many reasons to get outside this weekend. On Friday, grab your blankets and chairs and enjoy the movie, The Good Dinosaur, at Brown Park. On Saturday explore Kaplan Woods’ new mountain bike trail and enjoy a family concert in Central Park among other fun events. Finally, on Sunday jump in the water at River Springs Water Park for only $2 admission. The Extravaganza celebration at the Steele County History Center and Village of Yesteryear was rescheduled to this Saturday. The day will feature old time hand crafts, stage performances by Straight River Sal and Rough Rider Teddy Roosevelt, musical entertainment, an antique tractor show, wool spinning, printing, basket weaving, wood working demonstrations, a vintage baseball game, face painting, and much more. Joyce Frances Exhibit
Don’t miss your chance to catch the Joyce Frances Exhibit at the Owatonna Arts Center. The exhibit, which runs through the end of the month, highlights the calligrapher and paper artist who is showing collagraph prints from her Gelli Plate series. More details here.
