The 5th Annual Bold & Cold Festival has plenty of winter events to suit everyone’s favorite cold weather activities.
Owatonna Park & Recreation is back again with their Winter Weekend Out that features fun winter activities! You don’t want to miss these fan favorites, such as Family Log Rolling, and Rock on Ice, Sculpture Building Contest, Snowshoeing, and Luminary Hike.

Owatonna Middle School Pool
Children under age 10 must be accompanied by a parent. Children with lifejackets must be within reach of a parent at all times. ($4 per person)
Get the family together and head over to the Owatonna Middle School Pool for open swim, and give Log Rolling a try. Lifeguards and a log rolling instructor will be on hand.

Morehouse Park
The Chalet will offer skate rentals and a bonfire. (No cost except skate rentals)
With music, lights, fun and roller rink-style games- everyone will be Rockin on Ice! Bring the whole family down, warm up by the bonfire and enjoy a night skating to the music!

Brooktree Golf Course
A variety of snowshoe sizes will be available for complimentary use from 10 am until 5 pm.
Dig out your snowshoes, and head over to Brooktree Golf Course for snowshoe fun! If you don’t have your own, you’ll be able to rent a pair. Warm up with hot cocoa and apple cider when you are done!

Mineral Springs Park
Finish up the Bold & Cold Weekend out, with a Luminary Hike through Mineral Springs Park. Bundle up, and enjoy the crisp winter walk.
Lace up your skates and glide over to Morehouse Park to ice skate. Don’t worry if you don’t own your own skates, you can rent them from the Warsinksi Chalet at Morehouse Park near downtown Owatonna. The Warsinksi rinks are the only supervised rinks in Owatonna.
Minnesota’s first cooperatively owned brewpub – Foremost Brewery Cooperative is celebrating their second year of business this year! This new upscale, casual, beer-centric dining experience features locally-produced craft beers paired with fresh, gourmet pub food. If your family is looking for a little more adventure and speed, consider snowmobiling.
Rice Lake State Park and Steele County Trail System are popular locations for snowmobiling.
